Paediatric Naturopathic Care for Babies, Children and Teens

When your child is struggling, whether it is with gut issues, frequent illness, sleep, big emotions, feeding challenges, sensory differences, focus, or energy, it can affect the whole family.

At NeuroThrive, we offer holistic paediatric naturopathic care that looks beyond isolated symptoms and considers the full picture of your child’s health. That includes digestion, immune health, nutrition, nervous system regulation, sleep, development, and the real life context of family capacity.

This is gentle, personalised support designed to help your child feel better in their body and to help you feel more confident about what to do next.

Personalised Care

A whole child approach to paediatric health

A child with constipation may also be struggling with appetite, sleep, mood, anxiety, or behavioural dysregulation. A child who is constantly run down may also have underlying nutrient gaps, gut issues, sensory challenges, or nervous system overload. A teen with painful periods or fatigue may need support that goes far beyond being told it is “normal.”

That is why care at NeuroThrive is designed to look at the interconnected ecosystem of brain, gut, immune system, nervous system, nutrition, hormones, and environment.

We do not believe in one size fits all plans, pressure based approaches, or forcing children to fit someone else’s mould. We focus on realistic, respectful care that works with your child’s needs and your family’s actual capacity.

What we support

We support babies, children and teenagers with a wide range of concerns, including:

  1. Constipation, bloating, reflux, tummy pain and unsettled digestion

  2. Frequent illness, immune support, recurrent colds and allergies

  3. Sleep difficulties, low energy and nervous system dysregulation

  4. Emotional regulation, anxiety, overwhelm and big feelings

  5. ADHD, autism, sensory differences and neurodivergent wellbeing

  6. Feeding difficulties, selective eating and food related stress

  7. Nutrient deficiencies affecting growth, focus, mood and resilience

  8. Teen health concerns, including acne, painful periods, fatigue and stress

Neuroaffirming support for neurodivergent children

Neurodivergent children deserve care that respects who they are.

At NeuroThrive, we provide neuroaffirming support for autistic children, ADHDers, and sensory sensitive children, with a strong focus on regulation, wellbeing, nourishment, and sustainable support. We are not here to make children mask harder or become more “manageable” for everyone else. We are here to support health, comfort, function, and family life in ways that are respectful and realistic.

This might include supporting gut health, identifying nutrient issues, improving sleep, reducing meal time stress, exploring sensory needs, or helping parents understand how nervous system load can show up through behaviour, shutdown, or emotional overwhelm.

Support across every stage

Babies

The early years are a foundational time for gut health, immune development, feeding, sleep, and nervous system regulation.

We commonly support babies with reflux, colic, constipation, unsettled digestion, early feeding issues, frequent illness, and gentle support through the transition to solids.

Toddlers and young children

This stage often brings rapid shifts in behaviour, digestion, immunity, sensory needs, and emotional regulation. We support families navigating constipation, bloating, fussy eating, recurrent infections, allergies, sleep disruption, sensory challenges, and developmental concerns, with practical strategies that fit real family life.

School aged children

Once school starts, the load on a child’s nervous system can ramp up fast. Focus, learning, friendships, anxiety, school fatigue, behaviour changes, and gut symptoms often start to overlap. We support school aged children with digestive issues, attention and focus concerns, emotional regulation, nutrient deficiencies, sleep problems, sensory differences, and neurodivergent health support.

Teenagers

Teen years bring major shifts in hormones, mood, sleep, energy, digestion, skin, and stress resilience. We support teens with fatigue, anxiety, acne, painful periods, digestive issues, low iron, low energy, sleep disruption, and the nutritional demands of growth and development.

What it is like to work together

Paediatric care at NeuroThrive is personalised and practical.

Your consultation is designed to understand your child’s health history, current symptoms, diet, digestion, sleep, development, behaviour, sensory needs, and the broader family picture. From there, we create a clear plan with realistic next steps.

Depending on your child, this may include support around nutrition, dietary strategies, gut health, immune function, nervous system regulation, foundational supplementation, pathology interpretation, or functional testing where appropriate.

The goal is not to overwhelm you with a giant list of impossible things. The goal is to identify what matters most, reduce the noise, and give you a plan that makes sense.

Why families choose NeuroThrive

Families often come to NeuroThrive because they want more than symptom management alone.

They want someone who will listen properly, look at the full picture, and offer support that feels thoughtful, respectful, and grounded in both evidence and real life.

What makes this care different:

  1. A holistic lens that considers gut health, nutrition, nervous system function, immune health, development and family context

  2. Neuroaffirming support that respects your child’s individuality

  3. Gentle, personalised recommendations rather than generic protocols

  4. Care that is realistic for overwhelmed families, not built for imaginary people with unlimited time and energy

  5. Support for babies, children and teens, all in one place

Counselling

We understand that children’s health is not only physical. Emotional wellbeing, stress, family dynamics, sensory needs, confidence, and nervous system regulation all play a significant role in how a child feels and functions day to day.
